Wind Symphony
The Wind Symphony is the top concert band organization that requires audition.
Individual instruction through master classes with professional musicians.
Ensemble choirs are formed which perform for a school and cluster events.
Students in this ensemble represent the most proficient wind and percussion performers in our music.
Students are required to go to Solo and Ensemble and/or for All District Band and are encouraged to take private lessons
Literature is performed to best serve the educational needs of our students.
Ensemble performances include Concert Festivals, Fall and Spring Concerts, and special appearances.
Symphonic Band
The Symphonic Band is an elite concert band organization that requires audition.
Students in this ensemble represent proficient wind and percussion performers in our music program.
Students are required to go to Solo and Ensemble and/or for All District Band and are highly encouraged to take private lessons.

The Jazz Band is organized through special invitation of the directors.
The Jazz Band provides our top instrumentalists with the opportunity to develop their skills associated with Jazz.
Band Of Stars
The Marching Band is the most active of the organizations in the South Gwinnett High School Band program.
Preparations take place during the summer months and performances include football games, competitions, parades, and special appearances.
B-Ball Pep BAND
The Basketball Pep Band is an extremely energetic group of musicians that play for the home basketball games.
The ensemble is primarily upperclassmen and is student organized.
Ladies Of Silk
Admission by audition only.
The color guard comprises the most visual component of the marching band.
Students have professional clinicians to work dance and flag technique.
Most students have had formal dance training and/or are in the dance classes offered at school.

As the battery of the Band, students have opportunities to perform across the Metro Atlanta area.
Time commitment for the Drum Line is highly extensive.
Students may also gain the opportunity to play in the front ensemble as a melodic percussionist.
